GENEVIEVE WONG is a four-time Emmy-nominated producer, writer and director, who works mostly in the documentary and reenactment space. Currently, Genevieve produces the paranormal TV show The Proof Is Out There for the History Channel.
Prior to Proof, Genevieve was best known for producing the hit franchises America’s Most Wanted and Access Hollywood, where she was a part of the 2016 team that uncovered the Donald Trump “grab them by the p***y” tape leak. Since the historic moment, the Los Angeles native has soldiered on to make even more groundbreaking content that has aired on networks and streaming platforms like Fox, Discovery+, TNT, Hulu, and beyond.
In addition, Genevieve continues to develop projects through her production company, Generation Wong. The end result is the creation of over a dozen reality, game, lifestyle and true crime formats, as well as strong relationships with producing partners like Fremantle, The Wolper Organization, and The Jay and Tony Show. Genevieve also works as a screenwriter on occasion; her projects have caught the attention of production companies like Unicorn Island (late-night host Lilly Singh’s shingle) and Nørlum (Oscar-nominated for Song of the Sea).
When Genevieve isn’t writing or producing, she moonlights as a print journalist (Los Angeles Times, New York Post) and sometimes when she’s lucky, as a SAG-AFTRA actress who does reporter parts (Law & Order: Los Angeles, yA, The Innocence Files). In late 2021, Simon & Schuster published Genevieve’s first book, Healing Herbal Soups, which became an Amazon bestseller in the categories of Chinese Medicine, Soups & Stews, Asian Cooking, and Political Advocacy.
A former Junior Olympian in fencing, Genevieve is a proud alumna of New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts and Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism. She is an active member of the Producers Peer Group at the Television Academy, the Asian-American Journalists Association, SAG-AFTRA, and the Producers Guild of America.
